The Emerson EK 305 (PCN 048214) is a premium liquid line filter drier engineered to provide maximum protection for commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This model features a substantial 30-cubic-inch internal capacity and utilizes standard 5/8-inch SAE flare connections for secure, threaded installation. Like all driers in the premium EK series, it incorporates a highly effective compacted bead core that blends molecular sieve and activated alumina, delivering exceptional water absorption alongside high-capacity acid removal. This makes it an ideal choice for both general system protection and critical clean-ups following a compressor burnout. The drier actively filters out solid contaminants down to 20 microns with minimal pressure drop, protecting sensitive system components like expansion valves and compressor internals. Encased in a shock-resistant steel shell with a highly durable, corrosion-resistant epoxy powder paint finish, the EK 305 safely handles a maximum working pressure of 680 PSI. It is officially approved for use with POE oils and remains fully compatible with a wide range of common CFC, HCFC, and HFC refrigerants, including R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, and R410A.
